dc.description.abstract The Study of Translating holy Quran is difficult, because holy Quran introduces difficult linguistic ,specially in expressing the meaning of items. These meanings of items are difficult in translating the culture of holy Quran items and difficult for native speakers of English. The aims of this study are to make students understand the cultural items in holy Quran, To investigate the semantic problem for rendering holy Quran items and. Finding out the cultural issues through translating cultural items for EFL learners. The study adopted descriptive analytical methods, using two methods to collect data by means of questionnaire and test which were distributed to (50) MS students for questionnaire and( 20) for test, At faculty of education- Hasaheisa batch(12-13). Data were analyzed by the (SPSS) program statistical package for social sciences. This study has found out: Most EFL students are not able to produce expressive, coherent and logically sequent ideas in translating holy Quran .Students" ability in translating meanings for holy Quran need to be encouraged. Teachers should follow- up the improvement of student's performance, .Translating holy Quran items enhance students acquiring the basic study skills needed for translating holy Quran .Collaboration offers the students the opportunity to grasp the meaning of holy Quran words. Limited word knowledge is the main shortcoming in EFL university students in translating holy Quran. Translating holy Quran words are preferably done using many and multi methods .The study recommend that : EFL students should be motivated to continuous practice of translating holy Quran .Collaborative writing the items should be used to encourage learners in translating holy Quran . .EFL students should follow a systematic process in translating holy Quran items .Lecturers should use different effective techniques to enhance students translation performance for holy Quran items .Feedback and follow –up strategies should be practiced to improve performance in translating holy Quran .\Learners should be given home work and more exposures to holy Quran items . en_US
