dc.description.abstract HIV/AIDS is a common problem in Sudan, not only in Sudan but it is currently considered as a common health worldwide; the virus has a wide distribution in some African countries. The disease has a great impact on infected patients and concurrent opportunistic infections were reported to occur. The infection in the first and second stage is a symptomatic and silent but in stage three is dominated by severe symptoms led to sever weight loss (over 10% of body weight), the infection can cause pulmonary tuberculosis, anaemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, Kaposi sarcoma. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Anti Retrovirus Therapy on account of Cd4 T-Lymphocyte in Sudanese patients under regular ART at Wad Medani and Military Teaching Hospitals. A group of 50 patients with HIV/AIDS undergoing regular of ART at Medani ART centers in Medani Teaching Hospital and Medani Military Hospital and total number of control group about 10 healthy volunteers were participated in this study during September 2014. Blood samples were diagnosed using true volumetric absolute counting; Cd4+ T-cell counting measured by mobile cyflow laboratory affordable Cd4 T-cell counting. The unique method is solely based on the fundamental definition of absolute counting respectively the particle concentration (c) which is equal to the counted number (N) of particles (e.g. cells) in a given volume (V), c =N / V and simple method and the result showed that a Cd4+ T-cell was significant increment after ART (p 0.000) was 34%, some patient was decrement 10% and 2% was equaled from 23 patient could counted before and after treatment. Depend on WHO stage classification; the patient categorized into; stage one 11(22%); stage two 4 (8%); stage three 28 (56%); stage four 7 (14%). The study consul that ART has a wish effect on Cd4 count at different stage of HIV/AIDS. The study recommended measured the Cd4 count, viral load test and complete blood count could be mostly before initiation the ART and follow up continuous and need food assistance, daily exercise, avoid alcohol / tobacco use to control the patient. en_US
